Let’s talk about Crystal Noir first. A really underrated fragrance in my opinion that is really niche like.
The opening is wonderfully spicy-fresh with cardamom present, followed by a cool, floral note, especially the peony I perceive. The ginger really surprises me positively. The musk fits just perfectly to the overall picture. I imagine I still smell something reminiscent of coconut.
Overall, it does not seem “noir”, but still very cool and creamy, velvety, mature and neatly groomed. And somehow already a bit mysterious and unapproachable. He radiates for me the extremely self-confident composure of a seasoned woman who can be impressed so quickly by nothing and no one.
Enough gushing, what about Dylan Purple? Dylan Purple starts with an incredibly fruity & juicy note of pear. What follows is hard to say, because I could not separate further. I would think a small bouquet, however, this pear note remains permanently present. The orange note, unfortunately, I can not smell out. It is wonderfully tangy, just really juicy, but also very light. Later, I somehow smell a bright red cherry out – I think this is due to the synthetic base notes.
It doesn’t give you a headache or linger with a penetrating smell in your nose. It is sweet & fruity, but not too sticky. Unfortunately, the durability is not very special, after about 3 hours I could smell him only close to the skin.
It can be said that both Versace Purple Perfumes are suitable for everyday use. None of them particularly stings the nose or gives you a headache, which is often the case with sweet fragrances. I like the Crystal Noir more, as this is simply more adult and has significantly better durability than the Dylan Purple. Dylan Purple is more for the younger ones, which is also nothing negative. But I prefer the Crystal Noir in any case when it comes to Versace Purple perfume.
